btw is the gps free or do you have to pay network charges?

if you dont pay extra for the voice navigation, do you still get the blue route path and the aroows pointing which way to go?

I know that with the phone in general, you can use word commands, but I’m not sure if it works with the GPS as well. I’ve never bothered to use it anyway lol, it got old for me after my first phone did it for the contacts.

If it doesn’t do that for the GPS, you could probably download something that allows you to do that as there is SO MUCH you can download for the N95 ^^

Great demo!
For GPS, can you speak to the N95 like with the Instinct? Example, say “coffee”… and it will list local coffee shops and provide audio directions to your chosen location…

Umm, there might be a way to remove it, I’m not sure…..
I don’t think so tho, if you look on the internet there is a way to do a soft reset, I can’t remember the key combination right now though.
You could also update the firmware, it’s too complected for me to explain here, so you might want to just look on the internet for an explanation to that as well.

200103511 December 21, 2009 at 7:09 am

Hmmmmm, I’ve never had that problem before….Have you tried it without any memory card in the phone? The maps you downloaded may be corrupted.

kaivao80 December 21, 2009 at 7:51 am

Yea, when you move it will also move, like a dedicated GPS unit in a car.

999PARKER999 December 21, 2009 at 8:43 am

DO i need to pay to be able to use the gps feature?

200103511 December 21, 2009 at 11:10 am

There is a program “Nokia Map Loader” You can download this from the Nokia website, or search “Nokia Map Loader” in Google and click on the Nokia website link.

After that, you connect the phone in mass storage mode (or you can just use a memory card reader) and start Nokia Map Loader. It’s pretty straight forward after that.

P.S. Before you connect the phone or memory card, you must open the “Maps” application on your phone at least once so that a directory can be created on the memory card.
