What are good stocking stuffers for an 11 year old boy? ?

I know it’s too soon but I’m trying to get started on Christmas shopping. I do stocking stuffers for my kids every year and I’ve been doing it since they were born. They look forward to those little things. My teenage daughter is so easy to buy for but my 11 year old son? He into video games, electronics and gadgets. I used to put little toys but he’s outgrown them . Any ideas?

How bout a bycicle? Weightlifting gear? treadmill? You’ve got to teach him to be a man not a kid. Never can start to early you know, actually its best to catch them at an early age.

But on a more serious note I guess you COULD go to wal-mart and get him some sort of electronic thingy, perhaps a game? But no one ever earned moral values from playing video games, especially today…

Definitely something like rechargeable batteries and a charger if he’s into portable gaming. Also, some magazines, like for x-box 360 or a guide to a game he wants for christmas. Gift certificates are also pretty awesome, like GameStop or Microsoft points, Itunes cards…
Even novelty stuff like a fart machine would probably make him happy, although stuff like that may drive you crazy.

I agree boys are the hardest!!!! I have a stocking stuffers blog (just for fun — not profit — I’m not selling anybody anything!) where I list a different idea each day. I have tags for each type of recipient, including one “for boys”, but I admit that’s my weakest area. And even some of those ideas are for younger than your son. Do you think he might like ninja star coat hook, or ninja star push pins? Hmmm, some of the things under “college students” or “computer geeks” might work, like a bedside clock shaped like Rubik’s Cube, or one like a robot?

Boys certainly are challenging to buy for!

If he’s trying to impress a girl in 6th grade, it might be cute to give him gift cards for the movies.
And boys that age want so much to be grown-up for their age – why not give him a non-fiction paperback on how to start a website business?
